I’m fundraising for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

I'm taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon 2024 to raise vital funds for the DofE charity, helping to transform the lives of young people through The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

I am a teacher at Ashton Secondary School in Glasgow. As an additional support needs school, many of our pupils typically experience a range of unique challenges that can create barriers to their learning. As a teacher I have always been an advocate for outdoor learning and the fantastic opportunities it can give our learners. And the Duke of Edinburgh Award encapsulates this; it allows our pupils the chance to flourish and take part in opportunities they may never have had the opportunity to do so before.

So please sponsor me, help raise money for this amazing award, and help support our pupils to flourish. 

And if you needed even more of an incentive, I had previously decided to run the Glasgow Half Marathon the week before Manchester. So this will be the first time I attempt to run two half-marathons consecutively, with only 7 days in between. So I need all the help I can get!
