My Updates
I’m running the Brighton marathon in support of the DofE charity
Monday 5th Oct As a member of the RAFAC I have been able to have amazing opportunities and experience taking part in the DofE awards scheme. From my bronze DofE in 2023 and silver DofE along the Seven Sisters in 2024, to my gold award this year which took me to Eryri national park and across the dynamic landscape. The DofE award scheme has enabled me to grow and develop as a young person pushing me physically and mentally. The awards has taught me valuable skills and lessons about resilience and determination as both an individual and working as a team.
Completing my Dofe awards has has helped drive my passion for the outdoors and AT and my want to pursue qualification such as low level leader and mountain leader.
The Dofe award scheme should be accessibility for all young people. Weather completing the award with schools or an external club, it helps give young people an opportunity to challenge themselves and step out of there comfort zones and try something new.
