DofE Wing Walk 2024
I'm taking on the challenge of a lifetime and wing walking to raise money to help transform the lives of young people with the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Please sponsor me to help me reach my target so that the DofE charity can reach even more young people.
This is my biggest and scariest challenge so far, so any support at all will be massively appreciated.

We did it!
Monday 29th Jul
This was one of the proudest and best days of my life and with your help I managed to raise over £1200 for the DofE
Between all of us Wing Walkers we raised over £12,000 which will have a life changing impact on young people lives.
I put all of the coping techniques that I’ve learnt into action throughout the day - especially on the top of the 1940’s vintage plane. (You can actually see me tapping, and doing breathing exercises in the reel on my Instagram Page!)
This helped me to fully enjoy and absorb every single second. Even during the twists I still managed a smile!
I think I was even singing and chatting to my Mum at one point!
When I landed I had tears of happiness and an overwhelming sense of gratitude… and relief too!
I highly recommend doing something like this yourself, face your fears and possibly raise money for a charity along the way.
The feeling of accomplishment is mind blowing and knowing that you can help others along the way will make you feel proud.
Thanks again for all of your generous donations. Thank you to all the inspirational people I met at the airfield. And thank you to all of the businesses that have helped me along the way.

Things I am doing to help calm my nerves!
Monday 15th Jul As you can imagine I am absolutely petrified of doing my Wing Walk so I have been trying a few things to help calm me down.

Wednesday 13th MarOne thing in life that I am very passionate about is fundraising and I am very excited (and terrified) to say that I will be doing a Wing Walk to raise money for the DofE!
This challenge is probably the scariest one that I’ve ever done!
I’ll be climbing to the top of a plane, strapped to the wing and literally flung around the sky for a little while!
It’s not really registered in my head how scary this is, but I know I’m the biggest wimp with heights - I couldn’t even manage GoApe a while back!
Over the years I have completed various challenges to raise money for many different charities. My highlights were being pushed out of plane (I was too scared to jump), diving with sharks (I actually cannot swim!)
And walking 23.5 miles along the Gower Coast on the hottest day of the year (losing 5 toe nails in the process!)
All of these pushed my fears and physical abilities to the limit, and I am sure a wing walk will challenge me just as much!
All money raised will be going to a charity close to my heart, where I have seen first hand how young peoples lives have changed for the better. So doing this wing walk will help give more young people the opportunity to do their DofE.
If you could you spare anything at all, even a couple of quid, it will hopefully all add up to my target of £1000 (yikes!)
