DofE Hike for Youth - Jurassic Coast Virtual Challenge
Hi,
I'm taking part in the Hike for Youth - Jurassic Coast Virtual Challenge to support the DofE. Throughout the month of April, I'll be walking 95 miles to help raise money to transform the lives of young people by providing access to The Duke of Edinburgh's Awards to those who would benefit the most, including young people facing poverty and with additional needs.
The DofE can transform a young person's life in many ways including:
- helping them build life-long belief in themselves
- improve their mental and physical health
- increase their job prospects
- help them play an active role in restoring their communities
- improve skills such as navigation, teamwork, resilience and interpersonal skills
I've completed my Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE, so I know personally how transformative the awards are.
