My 120-Mile challenge
I'm taking part in the DofE Do it 4 Youth Step Challenge walking, running or wheeling 120 miles throughout March, raising vital funds for the DofE charity more young people facing financial barriers can access the life-chanding Awards programme and transform their lives. Please support me by sponsoring as much as you can.
The DofE is an amazing youth scheme that I’ve been lucky enough to see the benefit of, both as a participant and as a leader. I’ve achieved both my Bronze and Silver levels and aim to start my Gold journey later this year. I’ve made so many great memories, met some amazing people and learnt life-long lessons along the way. I took part in a range of activities including dance and running for physical, baking and piano for skills, and dance coaching and Parkrun volunteering for my awards. Now, I volunteer as a Young Leader at my detachment which enables me to help others access and complete their awards - something I believe everyone should be able to do. The DofE is very important to me and I believe everyone should be able to access it, which is why I’m doing this fundraiser. Unfortunately, the DofE scheme does come with a cost, which can prevent those who may benefit from it the most from achieving their awards. The 120-mile challenge aims to raise funds to allow other young people to take part in the DofE scheme. Please donate if you are able, all funds go towards a great charity that helps so many young people.
Well done, keep walking (& running)!!! Xx
