I’m fundraising for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

I'm taking on a challenge and fundraising for the DofE in support of young people across the UK.

The DofE help young people build life-long belief in themselves, supporting them to take on their own challenges, follow their passions, and discover talents they never knew they had. Because when you prove to yourself that you’re ready for anything, nothing can hold you back.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left the UK’s youth facing more challenges than ever. As young people come out of lockdown, the DofE offers any and every young person the chance to build life-long skills and belief regardless of ability, interest or background. To feel able to do anything, achieve anything and overcome anything life throws their way, whatever their circumstance.

We're raising funds for the DofE so disadvantaged young people can take part in the DofE and build life-long belief in themselves and be ready for anything.

Please donate and help make a huge difference to young people who wouldn’t otherwise have access to the life-changing benefits of the DofE.

My Updates

Weightlifting Sunday 27th June - “Push Day 2”

Sunday 27th Jun
Got some wrist wraps as a gift and can’t believe how great it was having them! After fracturing a bone in my wrist on the school ski trip, it’s been difficult to push myself with my Push day. So today was: Barbell military press at 27kg x 3 sets of 5, bench press at 34kg x 3 sets of 12, then 6kg dumbbells in each hand for 3 sets of 12 lat raises, finished off with a superset of 30kg (3 sets of 12) cable rope tricep push downs immediately followed by cable rope overhead triceps extensions at 25kg (3 sets of 12). Can start to see tricep definition - but only with overhead gym-bro lighting 😂

Weightlifting Saturday 26th June - “Pull Day 2”

Sunday 27th Jun
After another day of DofE hiking for our expedition, had to go to the gym bright and early! Bent over row with 45kg x 3 sets of 5, then this funky lat pull down machine with 40kg x 3 sets of 12, then the T-bar for more rows with 15kg x 3 sets of 12, then some brutal curl work with 7.5kg dumbbells in each hand for 3 sets of 12 followed by 3 sets of hammer curls to failure. Tough but now carrying book boxes at school is so much easier!

Weightlifting Thursday 24th June - “LEGS Day 1”

Sunday 27th Jun
Not ideal before our DofE expedition day of hiking but at least I didn’t have to walk much! Working on my squat form so 3 sets of 5 at 40kg, then Romanian deadlift for 3 sets of 12 at 50kg, moved onto leg press with 3 sets of 12 at 80kg, and finished with the calf raise machine that I hate at 20kg for 3 sets of 12. EXHAUSTED!

Weightlifting Tuesday 22nd June - “Push Day 1”

Tuesday 22nd Jun
Total amount “pushed” today! Includes a strength train in Bench press, standing military barbell press, incline dumbbell bench press and some tricep push downs!

Weightlifting Monday June 21 “Pull Day 1”

Tuesday 22nd Jun
This is my overall total amount lifted today!
