I’m fundraising for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

I'm taking part in the DofE Do it 4 Youth Step Challenge walking, running or wheeling 120 miles throughout March, raising vital funds for the DofE charity more young people facing financial barriers can access the life-chanding Awards programme and transform their lives.  Please support me by sponsoring as much as you can.

My Updates

Day 16

Sunday 16th Mar
Halfway through the challenge and managed a 2 mile run this evening. This is on top of a morning of hockey coaching, which was about 4 miles!

Day 15

Saturday 15th Mar
A lot of walking today at the English Schools XC champs - walking several times with the athletes to check the course out, etc.

Day 14

Friday 14th Mar
After a long week of work, managed 2km in the pool and then a 3.5km run/jog later this evening.

Day 13

Friday 14th Mar
A short recovery walk this evening after a busy day of school & hockey tournament.

Day 12

Wednesday 12th Mar
After a hockey tournament and sitting through an incredible opera performance at school, managed to sneak in a slow 2 mile run!

Day 11

Wednesday 12th Mar
Broken down into two short walks - managed 4 miles (added together!)

Day 10

Monday 10th Mar
Managed to get in a 4 mile run this evening, after a long day at work!

Day 9 (part 2)

Sunday 9th Mar
The day ended off with a little walk to the shops & back to get some stuff for the week ahead

Umpired a hockey match this afternoon - can't believe I walked/ran just over 2 miles!

Day 8

Saturday 8th Mar
Assisted with the Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh orienteering day around Hampstead Heath. Did a bit more than this tracked walk, but thought I'd count this.

Day 7

Friday 7th Mar
Unfortunately only managed a 1 mile swim this evening after work!

Day 6

Thursday 6th Mar
Managed to squeeze in a quick spin bike session this afternoon during Year 10 PE games lesson!

Day 5

Wednesday 5th Mar
Today was an active recovery day (give the old knees a rest!) and went for a "quick" walk after a long day of work!

Day 4

Tuesday 4th Mar
After a long day at work, I somehow found the energy to get through a *very slow* run/jog 👍🏻

Day 3

Monday 3rd Mar
First run during my work week - good to get the legs moving! Another slow and steady run/jog 👍🏻

Day 2 (part 2)

Sunday 2nd Mar
Finished off the day with a very slow run/jog! Baby steps to achieving this mammoth target!

Little walk this afternoon after 2hours of hockey coaching.

Saturday 1st Mar
Early morning cycle to kick things off! Ended up completing a slow 10.68km (6.7miles) 👍🏻

Super excited to get going tomorrow, focusing on small manageable goals to achieve this mammoth target!
