I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the DofE charity

I have been involved with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for many years, training and assessing young people as they take on challenging expeditions. Time and again, I’ve seen the incredible impact this scheme has—pushing participants beyond their comfort zones, building resilience, and instilling confidence in their ability to achieve things they never imagined possible.

But for many, access to these life-changing opportunities isn’t guaranteed. With your support, we can ensure that even more young people experience the transformational power of the Award. Every donation helps provide resources, guidance, and opportunities for the next generation of adventurers, leaders, and changemakers.

Thank you so much for all your support, it really spurred me on to finish the race on Sunday with a smile on my face.
At times during the 13.1 miles it did become a challenge, but this is the type of challenge that everyone completing a DoE Award has to overcome to achieve their target!

I have been involved with DoE for many years carrying out training for expeditions and also assessing them.  Over the years I have seen how the scheme challenges young people, this gives them so much confidence in their abilities to achieve things they never dreamed of doing.
