120 Mile Challenge

As a DofE Youth Ambassador, I'm taking part in this challenge in March. I'll be covering 120 miles by foot or bike to raise funds to help young people access the life-changing Duke of Edinburgh award. If you're able to support me, every little helps!

Thanks,

Anais

My Updates

All Finished!

Monday 31st Mar
What a month! Thank you to everyone who sponsored me and encouraged me to get out and about this month! This challenge has really helped me to get back to being more active (especially ultimate frisbee!) after my injury, and I'm grateful for the support!

I'm off to meet the Children's Commissioner this week with some fellow youth ambassadors...look out for updates of our adventures on the DofE website and socials!

Applications Open Soon!

Friday 28th Mar
I'm really enjoying my time as a DofE UK Youth Ambassador, and I'm so glad I made the decision to apply for the role - it's one of the best decisions I've ever made! Not only has my confidence increased, through attending and speaking at events such as the Conservative Political Party Conference, Youth Without Limits, and MyLifeMySay Political Conference, but I've made life-long friends too!
If you're passionate about the DofE and are looking for an opportunity for your voice to be heard, this role may just be for you!
Applications open for 2025/2026 Ambassadors soon, and although I'm sad my year is soon to be up, I'm so glad I'm part of this DofE family, and I can't wait to see what the next cohort get up to!
If you're interested in the role and are aged between 16 and 24, head over to DofE.org to find out more and apply!

120 Miles Complete!

Tuesday 25th Mar
I've just completed my 120 miles with an 8 mile ride today! Anything more this month is extra - which is a great feeling!
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, I really appreciate the support and I've seen first hand how amazing having the opportunity to do the DofE is, and how many skills can be gained from it!

Nearly There!

Monday 24th Mar
Another good week - including a lot of walking around Birmingham (yes, another uni visit!) and an ultimate frisbee game to finish the week off!
Final week of the challenge, I'm hoping to complete my 120 miles within the first few days...maybe I'll even get some extra miles in!

Another Sunny Week!

Tuesday 18th Mar
Despite dubious weather reports, the sun still shone this week, making it easy to log a fair few miles, and cross the half way mark of the challenge! I managed five rides during the week, and a walk on Saturday whilst out leading a Bronze DofE group on a practice walk.

Halfway There!

Thursday 13th Mar
Just hit the 60 mile mark with an 8 mile ride...here's to the next 60!

Week 1 Complete!

Saturday 8th Mar
I've enjoyed getting out and about, both walking and on my bike this week...the sun and warmer weather has definitely helped! With colder weather forecasted, I may have to be more disciplined getting out to do my miles next week!

117 miles to go!

Saturday 1st Mar
Blue skies and sun to welcome in March and my first few miles! Looking forwards to getting out and about more this month to complete my 120 miles.

Thank you to my Sponsors
