My Updates
Half way
Sunday 15th Mar Well half way in both miles and time.Week 2 was harder to get the miles in as it was a busy week at work and after work.
British Science week meant getting in early to prep practicals for assemblies. It also meant outreach hands-on science after work so limited time for after work walks!
Add to that some superbly foul wind and rain! But I made it out morning and evening every day, just not as far as I’d hoped.
A trip to Todmorden to drop my son at a lifeguard exam today meant a nice walk in a new location with “April” showers galore.
A well earned stop at the takeaway section of Mr Beans cafe resulted in a coffee & sausage bap for me and a complimentary sausage for Luna- made her day!

Off we go
Sunday 1st Mar First of March, here we goA lovely sunny day finally after months of rain. Mild enough for a tshirt walk too.
Decided to walk to the local nature reserve and stroll round to see what spring is bringing.
It’s one of my favourite places to walk my dog, Luna.
There has been a lot of interest recently due to a very photogenic kingfisher so I expected it to be busy in the carpark, hence the walk there and back.
Lots of families, cyclists, runners and twitchers out.
A very pleasant start to my 120mile challenge.
Another quick mile done this evening in the dark just round the streets this time due to a teatime meeting planning an international microscale chemistry conference
Hopefully this will be the kick start back to fitness I need.
