120 Miles Completed — Challenge Achieved! 🎉

Friday 27th Mar
We’re so pleased to say that we’ve officially reached our 120-mile target for March — what an amazing journey it’s been!
It feels even better timing-wise, as I’m heading off to Austria tomorrow for a ski trip, which I’m very excited about! ⛷️
A huge thank you to everyone who has already supported and donated — it really means so much and has helped make this challenge even more worthwhile.
If you were still thinking about donating, there’s still time to contribute until 31st March, and every bit of support continues to make a difference for DofE.
Thanks again for all your encouragement — it’s been an incredible experience! 🚶‍♂️

Back to Shugborough with a Special Guest 🐾

Saturday 21st Mar
Today’s walk for our 120-mile March challenge took us back to the beautiful Shugborough Estate - we just can’t stay away from this place!

It started off very foggy, but by the end of the walk we were treated to a warm and sunny afternoon, which made it even more special. This time, we had some extra company too — our little four-legged friend, Munchkin, joined us for the adventure 🐶

There’s still so much of Shugborough left to explore, so we’ll definitely be back again.

To add even more steps, we headed over to Barton Marina for a lovely walk around the marina and lakes — and of course, we couldn’t resist a cheeky ice cream to finish!

Another fantastic day adding miles to our total. More updates to come — and please donate if you can to support DofE! 🚶‍♂️

Sunny Walk at Shugborough ☀️

Saturday 14th Mar

Today’s walk for our 120-mile March challenge took us to the beautiful Shugborough Estate, a National Trust property.

We were lucky to have absolutely beautiful sunny weather with blue skies, even if it was a bit chilly to start with. It really is a stunning place and well worth a visit. There is so much to explore around the estate that we definitely didn’t see everything, so we’ll certainly be coming back again.
To add some extra steps to today’s total, we also revisited Stapenhill Gardens in the afternoon, enjoying a lovely walk around the church and along the riverside.
Another great day adding miles to our challenge! More updates to come — and please donate if you can to support DofE. 🚶‍♂️

Foggy start but Beautiful Walk at Ilam Park 🌿

Sunday 8th Mar
Today’s walk for our 120-mile March challenge took us to the stunning Ilam Park, a National Trust location.
It started off very foggy and wet, but despite the weather we quickly realised what a beautiful place it is. The scenery and surroundings were amazing, even through the mist.
There’s so much to explore there that we definitely didn’t see even half of it, so we’ll certainly be coming back again when the weather improves to see more of what Ilam Park has to offer.
Another great set of miles added to our 120-mile challenge for DofE! 🚶‍♂️

Weekend Walking Challenge Update 🚶‍♀️

Saturday 7th Mar
Today’s walk for our 120-mile March challenge took us to the lovely Stapenhill Gardens.
It was a really nice walk along the river and around the gardens. It was definitely a bit chilly today, but we still had a great time getting the miles in. The gardens were beautiful even at this time of year, and we all agreed it will be amazing to come back later in the year when all the flowers are in full bloom.
After the walk, the activity didn’t stop there! In the afternoon we headed out for archery, which was great fun and helped us sneak in even more steps for the challenge.
Dad has already picked somewhere new for us to visit tomorrow, but he’s keeping it a surprise, so now we’re all really looking forward to finding out where we’re heading next and adding more miles to our total.
More updates coming soon as our 120-mile March challenge for DofE continues! 🚶‍♂️

Taking on 120 Miles in March for DofE!

Wednesday 4th Mar
This March, my parents and I are taking on a big challenge together — walking 120 miles throughout the month to support DofE (The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award)!
We’ll be clocking up the miles over the weekends, exploring new places and making the most of the fresh air while raising money for such an amazing cause. DofE helps young people build confidence, resilience and important life skills through volunteering, physical challenges and expeditions — and I’m really proud to be supporting it.
We kicked off our challenge on 1st March with a visit to the National Trust’s Sudbury Hall and the National Trust Museum of Childhood. It was an amazing start to the month! The hall is beautiful, and the Children’s Country House was so interesting — definitely a great way to begin our 120-mile journey.
There’s something really motivating about setting off knowing every step is going towards supporting other young people to have opportunities and experiences through DofE.
We’ve got more walks planned for this weekend (and plenty more miles to cover!), so keep an eye out for updates as we continue the challenge. Every bit of encouragement and support means so much to us.
If you’d like to donate or share our page, we’d be incredibly grateful. Let’s see how many miles — and how much impact — we can make together this March!
Thank you for supporting us!
