Hi everyone!  

On Saturday 11th July,  the DofE Trek Together walk will be taking place in Windsor Great Park to raise money for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. I will be taking part with sisters by walking 20 miles and would be very grateful if we could get any support as we do this!

 

Having completed both the Bronze and Silver award, I know firsthand what an impact this award can make on someone's life, and, unlike a lot of participants, my expeditions are actually amongst my fondest memories to date (Despite being exhausted the entire time by torrential rain, aching limbs, and stress of getting lost several times, it has inspired in me a love for adventure and waterproof trousers). It's taught me the importance of commitment, resilience, and hard-work, as well as given me the chance to give back to my local community. These are things that I've really come to value, and I hope that dragging myself around Windsor park for 20 miles in the middle of summer with two of my siblings will help to give someone else the opportunity to take part in such an amazing award, no matter their situation.
