We want to give more young people than ever the chance to take part in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE). Help us achieve this by joining us on a 10 or 22 mile walk along the spectacular Gower coast in South-West Wales.
The walk will be followed by a celebration event where you’ll be presented with your finisher’s medal. The money you raise will transform young people’s lives as they learn new skills and build life-long belief in themselves.
Whether you come along and meet people on the day or create a group in advance, it only takes a minute to sign up.
The minimum age to participate in this event is 13 and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Hear from Tori James - the first Welsh woman to climb Everest - about why you should take part:
As a Gower walker, you'll receive:
- Free DofE t-shirt
- Transport from Bracelet Bay, Mumbles to Rhossili and Oxwich start points
- Support along the way – with fundraising and on the walk itself
- Pit stops with water refill stations
- Medical assistance
- Celebration event at the finish
- Finisher’s medal
We'll meet you first at Bracelet Bay, near Mumbles, Swansea where you will be bussed to the two start areas by our shuttle bus service to Rhossili and Oxwich Bay Car Park.
22 mile route coaches leave at 07.45am
8.30am - National Trust Car Park, Rhossili to Mumbles Cricket Club.
